How to care for your watch

Wipe the case and bracelet with a soft cloth once a week. Steel bracelets can be rinsed with lukewarm water and a drop of mild soap, as long as the crown is screwed down.
Keep your watch away from strong magnets such as speakers and phone cases with clasps: magnetism is the most common reason a mechanical watch runs fast.
Plan a full service every five to seven years for automatics, and check the water resistance once a year if you swim with it.
